Their website says it’s “the biggest international celebration of the podcasting industry with visitors from over 40 countries.”

Have any of you been to this before? I have a friend who is considering getting tickets but there are so many conferences and festivals nowadays that she didn’t know if this particular one was worth it. Does anyone have any insight?

Yes. went last year and going again this year. The best parts, for me, were the Creator Stage and meeting people walking around. But it depends on your reason for going. Plenty of other things on offer during the event for sure.

I went to this in 2023, and then also went to MIRP a week later. I was glad I went to the Podcast Show, but I had more fun and got more out of MIRP. The Podcast Show was very much a trade show and was dominated by the big production companies and the big shows. There were some smaller companies present who ran some sessions but the opportunity for interaction was like you would get at a trade show; chats at booths and the like. Would I recommend going? If you are into podcasts and would enjoy listening to people giving presentations or panel sessions, then yes. I certainly enjoyed the session with the hosts of The News Agents, a show I am a fan of. But if you are looking to make contacts you’ll have to work harder than at something like MIRP where the workshop format is much better for brining people together at a peer level.

That’s really helpful. Thanks.

One tip I would add: queues for the most popular sessions start to form early and some of the rooms are relatively small, so make sure you get in line in time.

Good to know. Thanks.
